Description Slidell, La based Insurance MGA/Wholesale Insurance Brokerage firm is looking for Sr. Commercial UW/Brokers in the territory of Alabama. We will consider remote opportunities to the right candidates who are qualified as an option, or for a person in a state where we are licensed to create a remote uw environment in these states (AL, FL, GA, LA, MS, OK, TX) Responsibilities •Underwrite new and renewal business for insurance company partners under general direction •Oversee the evaluation, classification, and rating of risk to determine acceptability, coverage, and pricing •Implement underwriting policies under the direction of the Management and ensure compliance with these policies •Monitor critical areas, such as loss ratio, costs, retention ratio and new business hit ratio, formulating corrective action where necessary •Participate in national and local advertising, telemarketing and agency visits/sales calls to our customers Requirements/ Skills
