Quality Engineer (Yard Management) - (Vance, AL)

Purpose of the Position: Under general supervision, plans, executes, and other administers multiple yard management functions for all models including vehicle/manpower planning & allocation, issue communication/ documentation, and problem resolution. This position is responsible for creating process improvements to the yard repair process as well as handling a number of Yard Management projects listed below. Key functions: Determine repair needs regarding retrofit campaigns or general repairs. Create process flow concepts recommendations and present these to the department management. Understand best practice needs by leading department internal and external alignment meetings. Plan and execute large rework campaigns taking into account manpower, part supply, and work instructions. Ensure smooth operations by engaging related departments. Align with Logistics on a regular basis. Create PowerPoint, Excel, and MRS based tools to improve department throughput.
