Rigger - (Vallejo, CA)

Job overview: Berkeley Lab's Facilities Division has an opening for a Rigger. The incumbent assembles rigging to lift and move research or construction equipment/machinery. Incumbent may load, transport, unload and assist in the relocation of equipment/machinery via operation of mobile cranes with capacities up to 100 tons or fifteen ton forklift or smaller. This position will be filled at the Rigger level three or 4, dependent on background. Rigger (Level 3) Specific Responsibilities: Provide a broad spectrum of crane and rigging support service lab-wide including off-site facilities, as requested. Perform work, using pendant, radio and cab operated bridge crane controls of 30-ton capacity or smaller. Perform work, using forklifts of 15-ton or smaller. Through periodic training, maintain forklift and crane certifications, per OSHA Regulations and LBNL Standards.
