Massage Therapist (Per Diem) - (New York, NY)

Position summary: Provides therapeutic massage through a variety of modalities to relieve bodily aches and pains and provide relaxation. Job responsibilities: Interview clients to determine the required massage method Assess client's medical history, symptoms, and other relevant info before treatment Prepare the lotion, room and other equipment Apply proper pressure to the client preference Consult with other health practitioners to provide the client with the best therapy Maintain records of treatment Refer clients to other therapy, if necessary Qualifications: Effective communication expertise Positive attitude Punctual and self-sufficient Passionate about helping others through massage State certification through the New York Massage Therapy Certification (CAMTC) or Nationally certified through the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) Reporting: The Massage Therapist reports to the Practice Manager.
