Summer Internship for Research Department - Statistical Analyst - (Philadelphia, PA)

The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia is seeking an undergraduate junior or senior for a summer internship in the Bank's Research Department, with majors in Economics, Finance or Statistics. The intern will provide assist the research team with the following projects: Regional Research: Management will assign tasks to gather data and conduct preliminary analysis on 1 or two research topics that feed our pipeline for Regional Spotlight articles. With the goal of at least 1 brief concluding paper, to provide more in-depth exposure to some aspects of regional economics. Development of a National Manufacturing Survey Panel Data Set: The intern will assist with the creation of a central database that consolidates the manufacturing survey data from multiple Federal Reserve districts. This would include developing a common data dictionary, reconciling data, developing an update process, and generating initial analysis of the pooled data and of data by sector.
