Classification Title: Research Scientist Position overview: The Department of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering in the Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering at the University of Florida invites applications for a twelve-month non-tenure track, full time position at the rank of Research Scientist in the Center for Compressible Multiphase Turbulence. The unique and exciting aspects of this position are the possibility of working with some of the world's largest massively parallel computing platforms, the opportunity to work on a complex multi-disciplinary, multi-physics, multi-scale problem of national importance, being exposed to a wide-ranging problems involving physics, mechanics, computer science, and numerical methods, and, finally, the possibility to work with Department of Energy National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) scientists and spend extended periods working at the DOE NNSA labs.
