We invite applications for a research associate position in theoretical Quantum Communications and Quantum Details Processing in the Physics Department of Virginia Tech. The focus of the position is on Quantum Communications, Quantum Control, and related topics, including spin-photon interfaces, multi-photon entanglement and graph states and the physics of quantum emitters in solid-state systems. The position includes many opportunities for travel both to present in conferences and to collaborate with leading experimental groups. The successful candidate must hold a Ph.D. in either Quantum Optics, Quantum Info, or Theoretical Condensed Matter. A strong experience in Quantum Mechanics is necessary and knowledge of fundamental concepts of Quantum Details or Quantum Computing is required.
