Staff Research Associate (Molecular Biophysics & Integrated Bioimaging) - (Vallejo, CA)

Position details: Berkeley Lab's Molecular Biophysics & Integrated Bioimaging Division has an opening for a Staff Research Associate. This role is provided with broad program goals and objectives and is expected to design research and to collect, process, and analyze data to final product. Your primary duties include biochemical and biophysical studies of photosynthetic oxygen evolution, to isolate and/or use photosystem II membranes, and other metalloenzymes. The incumbent will be responsible for the growth chambers, preparation, purification and characterization of the protein solution and crystal samples, treating them chemically or photochemically, in highly specific manners, to characterize such samples using physical methods and interpret the results of such experiments.
