Chemist Postdoctoral Scholar (Chemical Sciences) - (Vallejo, CA)

Job description: Berkeley Lab's Chemical Sciences Division has an opening for a Chemist Postdoctoral Scholar. This role will work under the mentorship of Dr. Rebecca Abergel. You will be conducting research on the preparation and characterization of radionuclide bioconjugates (with siderophore-like small molecules or antibody-like macromolecules) and their subsequent biological evaluation through in vitro and in vivo (rodent) assays. What You Will Do: Perform radiolabeling procedures, characterization of radiometallic assemblies, and in vitro cellular assays. Perform efficacy experiments in various mouse models. Contribute to high safety standards and infrastructure of the Berkeley Lab Heavy Element Chemistry Group. Interact with PI, postdocs, research associates, students and other research groups at LBNL and UC Berkeley Campus. Assist in directing students and research assistants. Publication of research results in scientific journals and presentations of results at scientific meetings.
