Job overview The National Account Manager (NAM) will serve as the lead point of contact for account management activities for assigned National and Regional accounts in the South East region and play an integral role in the commercial reimbursement of Vertex's products (entire Cystic Fibrosis portfolio of products). Key account responsibilities can include, but are not limited to, Managed Care Organizations (MCOs), FFS Medicaid, Medicare, and Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBMs). The NAM will possess a broad and deep network of relationships with assigned accounts in order to execute the Managed Markets strategy. Most critically, the NAM is responsible for securing and managing profitable access for products and appropriate prior authorization and reauthorization criteria for Vertex products. The NAM will also be responsible for developing business relationships with appropriate individuals within the accounts to meet the business needs of the customer and Vertex.
