Associate Producer/Editor - (Lake Charles, LA)

Position overview KPLC-TV has an immediate opening for a part time Associate Producer to assist Producers as they edit video and scripts for morning newscasts on both KPLC and FOX29. This position also assists with production of digital content, and other duties including audio, video and graphic production. Must be able to stand for periods of an hour or more, climb ladders, lift 20 lbs, move camera equipment, drive company vehicles, and work non-traditional hours. The shift is primarily mornings, but other dayparts may be required from time to time. Must demonstrate proficiency in reading, writing news & digital content, editing video, and production/journalism principles. Previous tv background always preferred but not required, as this is an entry level position. Pre-employement drug screen and valid driver license required.
