DescriptionLocation: Newport Department: CAMPUS POLICE About the Job The Campus Police Officer is a member of the Arkansas State University-Newport (ASUN) campus police force, which serves and protects the ASUN college community. Officers are responsible for maintaining security and safety of persons and property; identifying potential security and safety hazards; being observant and responding to potential crime activity on campuses; maintaining good public relations by assisting others as a source of info and direction; controlling and regulating traffic and parking and investigating all security, safety, and traffic incidents. This position is located on the Newport campus and functions within team-oriented work atmosphere. The successful applicant will have the demonstrated expertise to work efficiently with others while promoting a positive organizational culture by embodying the institutional values of community, diversity, innovation, integrity, student-centeredness and trust.
