Medical Insurance Representative (6782) - (Alton, IL)

Under direct supervision of the Accounting Associate, the Medical Insurance Representative reviews patient balances analyzing the make-up of the balance and communicates this to the clinic patients. Duties for the Medical Insurance Representative include but are not limited to: -Take necessary actions to complete of process various types of routine, non-complex claims including 3rd party payers. -Accept payments and apply them to the patient’s account. -Work with 3rd party payers including all commercial insurance carriers and Medicaid. -Analyze and reconcile patient accounts referring to patient chart as needed; investigate discrepancies and determine appropriate action required to complete the claim process,
