Benefits Specialist (Leave Management) - (Atlanta, GA)
Job Purpose: Provide plan administration, participant communications and customer service with regard to the various employee and retirement benefits plans of the Institute (medical, dental, vision, flexible spending, disability, life insurance and retirement). Duties involve resolution of administrative issues, vendor interaction and issue solving. Major Responsibilities: Administer the benefits programs of the organization (e.g., insurance policies, etc.) Interact with carriers and vendors regarding plan administration provisions. Explain and research benefit policies for employees. Assist employees with the appeal process. Constantly keep informed about Federal and State guidelines, and update policies and procedures to reflect the guidelines. Investigate and resolve individual benefits issues or questions as required. Escalate and advocate for employees related to specific benefits matters. Reconcile pre-tax benefit spending account contributions.
