HIP Documentation Representative- Reimbursement Specialist - (Peoria, IL)

The Documentation Representative Reimbursement Specialist is responsible for the coordination of benefits, accurate and timely billing and collection of patient accounts for Home Infusion Pharmacy businesses. Responsible for insurance verification, authorization of services, ensuring the integrity of the claims submitted and accounts receivable recorded, including the appropriateness and collectability of fees. This position is an integral part of the Revenue Cycle, as Reimbursement Specialists are the final gatekeepers and monitors of the revenue cycle. The Reimbursement Specialist functions are (4) distinct responsibilities – Insurance verification, billing, accounts receivable and cash posting. Teammates may be assigned to 1 or multiple functions, depending on current business needs. Teammates may be assigned to 1 or multiple payer types, for example Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance and patient pay, depending on current business needs.
