Overview The Commercial Lines Claims Adjuster II – Physical Damage will be responsible for confirming coverage, making 24 hour contact with involved parties. The adjuster must be equipped both legally and technically to handle Physical Damage claims. Responsibilities Research and verify coverage on all assigned claims. The expertise to properly read, understand an interpret advanced coverage forms is a must. Investigate facts of loss on assigned claims. This involves obtaining statements from all relevant parties to a loss on a timely basis, obtaining police/fire reports, identifying witnesses and coordinating outside investigation with approved vendors when necessary. Research, document and apply liability statutes in multiple jurisdictions and be able to note the applicability to assigned claims. Clearly and concisely document all relevant claim activity in assigned claim files according to Company guidelines.
