Military Affairs Security Officer-Juneau County - (Juneau, AK)

These positions provide armed security services to protect property and persons from sabotage, fire, espionage, theft, vandalism, and other hazards; control entry and exit of all personnel, vehicles and other equipment at entry points to the National Guard Facility or Base; assist and direct visitors; enforce parking regulations; ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state and local regulations, rules and laws; prepare and maintain records and documents; monitor base alarm systems; and attend training and safety classes. Special Notes: An initial criminal experience investigation will be conducted on the finalist(s) prior to selection and a security clearance must be acquired after hire. A current drivers license may be required upon hire, depending upon the location. The successful applicant(s) will be required to complete and pass a pre-employment physical, including a drug screen, a fitness/agility test, and a psychological assessment.
