Housekeeping Supervisor - Evenings - (Austin, TX)

POSITION DESCRIPTION Responsible for day-to-day operation of the EVS Department in the absence of the Department Director. Various responsibilities include but not limited to: records maintenance, project assignments, direct supervision of employees, inspection of facility, patient interviewing, handling complaints, supervision of linen operations, supply coding and scheduling. Should have a high degree of flexibility and a good knowledge of all housekeeping work schedules. Will also be responsible for training new employees. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES 1) Makes at least 1 round in the hospital daily to ascertain general cleanliness of facility. 2) Checks storeroom supplies and reports any deficiencies to Department Manager. 3) Inspects equipment for cleanliness and necessary repair work. 4) Interviews 5 patients each week to ascertain patient's satisfaction with housekeeping services. 5) Supervises employees daily to see if they are in their scheduled areas and are completing their scheduled workloads.
