Medical Coding Trainers ONSITE - (Hampton, VA)

Position description Seeking experienced Medical Coding Trainers to provide medical coding training ONSITE AF government sites. Candidates who are qualified will analyze and identify medical coding and documentation performance gaps; design and develop training plans, content and presentations for various methods of communication to correct and improve knowledge and skills of medical providers, clinical staff and others. Must have a min of an Associates’ degree in Health Info Management; currently be either a RHIT or RHIA or CPMA or CPC or COC or CCS-P AND also be currently a CIC or a CCS; have a min of 10yrs of medical coding and/or auditing background in 2 or more medical, surgical and ancillary specialties within the past 15 yrs, including at least 5 yrs of background in a training role or a min of 3yrs training background within the last 6yrs in a military coding environment. A coding assessment has to be taken and all credentials must be current and verification will be required.
