Curator JOB DETAILS Summary/Objective The Curator is the responsible custodian of the LACS collection of artifacts and genealogy with an emphasis on public access and education. They are responsible for assembling, cataloguing, managing and presenting/displaying historic and cultural collections as well as the project management and presentation of the LACS' annual Cultural Conference.The position includes significant public outreach and interaction working in view of the public. Essential Job Functions Museum Management (45%) Conducts interactive tours and/or workshops with guests to educate and inform. Works with local schools to provide educational programing. Attends meetings, conventions, civic/community events, exhibits, etc. both for professional enrichment and to promote the LACS. Works with Marketing and Operations to develop and administer budget. Provide Saturday museum coverage.
