Volunteer Coordinator - (West Palm Beach, FL)

POSITION DESCRIPTION The Volunteer Coordinator is directly responsible for volunteer program supervision, liaison, communications, recruitment, assignments, and retention, as well as, identifying program needs, representing volunteers and advocating for volunteer services. The Volunteer Coordinator shall be responsible for developing, implementing, presenting, and managing volunteer activities, initiatives, events, projects and programs, including education awareness and outreach. The Volunteer Coordinator will facilitate and coordinate internal/external communication and advocate on behalf of PBSO's Community Services Division, Volunteer Services Unit (VSU) to the community as a whole. The Volunteer Coordinator will be required to have regular interaction with community leaders, groups, associations, governmental, non-profit and faith-based entities and the general public so as to educate and inform them of PBSO volunteer opportunities.
