Responsibilities Perform laboratory procedures such as DNA and RNA extractions, PCR, genotyping, and sample preparation for sequencing Grow and maintain cell lines from human lymphoblastic and fibroblastic cell lines With supervision, independently plan and conduct experiments beneficial to lab projects With supervision, develop and learn new techniques and protocols Receive and ship samples to/from various location around the world Able to log in samples using excel files Assist in maintaining databases for all samples received and processed in the lab Order general supplies and maintain inventory Compose and update laboratory protocols and procedures Maintain stock lab solutions, chemicals and reagents Share in lab maintenance such as weekly chemical waste duties, autoclaving, cleaning of lab benches Participate in weekly lab meeting and having to present during meeting Requirements
