* DutiesHelp## Duties### Summary**About the Position:**The incumbent of this position will serve as the Resident Engineer for the Engineering Research and Development Center (ERDC) in Vicksburg, MS. This is a Supervisory Interdisciplinary position and will be filled in one of the following areas: Supervisory Civil Engineer (0810), Supervisory Mechanical Engineer (0830), or Supervisory Electrical Engineer (0850).Learn more about this agency### Responsibilities* Approve contractors? construction schedules and quality control procedures.* Make controlling interpretations of intent of drawings and specifications.* Review project plans and specifications prior to contract advertisement to determine such things as practicability from construction standpoint.* Supervise inspection of construction operations for compliance with specifications.* Determine that contractors? operations comply with wage and hour law or other applicable labor laws and regulations.* Determine that contractors are properly recording work
