Public Policy Specialist - (Chicago, IL)

Contract six months - possibility to hire Responsibilities: The Public Policy Specialist is a key member of the Public Affairs team, which engages in advocacy efforts and legislative strategies to improve early earning opportunities for children 0-5, and to elevate the early care and education field. The key responsibilities of the Public Policy Specialist are to coordinate and participate in early learning site visits, meetings with elected officials and advocacy events; to track and analyze legislation; to conduct early learning policy research, and to participate in local early learning coalitions and committees. Critical functions: Service Goal: Consistently promotes and models courteous Child360/community service in a prompt and efficient manner. Maintains positive relationships with all Child360 internal and external contacts through professional and honest interactions. Responds to requests quickly and professionally recognizing that a request serves an organization and/or community need.
