Senior Underwriter - (Irwindale, CA)

Overview The incumbent in this position underwrites, examines, evaluates, and authorizes or recommends approval of all Direct and Indirect consumer loans, loan workouts and/or extensions, performs lines of credit reviews, underwrites additional loans, products and services. Monitors and reports activity levels to management by performing the following duties. Responsibilities Underwriting and Sales Analyzes candidates' financial status, credit, and asset evaluation to determine feasibility of granting consumer, home equity, business, and credit card loans. Reviews loan applications submitted by branch, Call Center, and lower level underwriting staff and approves loans within specified limits or submits recommendation to management for approval. Reviews all loan requests submitted on-line by members. Identifies additional cross-sells opportunities beyond the initial request and/or deposit products and services as appropriate to meet customer needs.
