Shady Side Academy Department of Campus Safety Campus Security Guard Classification Full time; Year-Round Non-Exempt Reporting Reports to: Director of Campus Safety Supervises: N/A Position summary Conduct patrols on Shady Side Academy campus to ensure security of buildings, students and staff. Responds to requests for assistance and emergencies. Main responsibilities Provides for the general security of Shady Side Academy campuses and respond to calls for service. Direct traffic, especially at the beginning and end of the school day, as well as for special events. Patrol the interior of buildings and outer perimeter of campus. Assists with school fire drills and lockdown drills. Must possess good interpersonal relationship skills using tact, patience and courtesy, particularly with respect to children. Occasionally ride on the school bus ride to and from school. Must have the expertise to deal with dissatisfied individuals.
