Patent Paralegal - (Draper, UT)

POSITION OVERVIEW FOR AN IP CLERK/ADMIN: This position is with the Symantec Patent Team, within the Legal Department. The Intellectual Property Paralegal will support Patent Attorneys and other Paralegals with day-to-day activities related to Symantec s Patent Program. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Primarily responsible for supporting maintenance of Symantec s intellectual property portfolio. * Provide support to the Symantec Patent Team, including Patent Attorneys and Paralegals, located in U.S. and India * Monitor workflow of outside counsel and paralegals to ensure upcoming office actions, examinations, and filing deadlines are handled in advance of the deadlines; alert management of any urgent issues; * Maintain IP management system (Anaqua), including maintaining records to ensure accuracy throughout patent life-cycle * Maintain E-billing and Matter Management Platform (Serengeti) by creating new matters, reviewing law firm invoices and issue resolution, and tracking spend against budgets
