PHYSICAL THERAPIST JOB DETAILS Evaluates, plans, implements and directs individualized physical therapy programs on patients with various integumentary, musculoskeletal, developmental and neurological dysfunctions. Interacts with patients, staff, physicians and the public in a professional manner. Delegates treatments appropriately, and supervises support staff. Provides patient, staff, and family education. Documents status and progress of patients. Participates on multidisciplinary team to correlate comprehensive patient care processes. Provides care to infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics based on knowledge of growth and development of various populations in inpatient, outpatient, and/or pediatric clinics and schools. Outpatient pediatric therapists are not required to work in the inpatient rehabilitation setting and will therefore not be required to complete a respirator mask fit test. If the employee does work in the inpatient setting a respirator mask fit test will be required.
