Research Associate - (Le Center, MN)

Position description The College of Agriculture, Food and Environment department of Animal and Food Sciences seeks a Research Associate. The Research Associate will be responsible for management of all precision dairy technologies at the University of Kentucky Coldstream Dairy including technical and computer support, data management, liaison to technology providers, and on-cow device management. The position provides oversight and organization of dairy systems research including scheduling of research projects and farm research meetings. The position also oversees and manages all purchases and animal research approval paperwork for the dairy systems research group. Management and oversight of all on-farm data collection coordinating with graduate students and farm staff. This includes scheduling and organizing timing, methodology, and processing of samples. Training of new graduate and undergraduate students for data collection techniques and animal handling. Supervise all undergraduate research assistants.
