Billing Specialist, Part-Time - (Hardeeville, SC)

POSITIONSUMMARY: Responsible for reviewing outpatient discharged patients to ensure proper charge capture. Identify and recommend changes to improve the hospital charge master and insurance billing. Educate clinical staff regarding documentation guidelines for Medicare, Medicaid and Managed Care insurance companies. Review reports assigned by Director, CFO, Regional and/or Corporate personnel. Performs other duties assigned by the Business Office Director, CFO, Regional and/or Corporate personnel. Essential Position requirements and Responsibilities: Reviewoutpatient discharged patientsto ensure proper charge capture. Enter missing fees as appropriate. Identifyandrecommendchangestoimprovethehospitalchargemasterandinsurance billing. EducateclinicalstaffregardingdocumentationguidelinesforMedicare,Medicaidand ManagedCareinsurancecompanies. Attend and report at hospital committee meetings as needed. Review reports assignedbyDirector,CFO,Regionaland/orCorporatepersonnel.
