Part time sports reporter The Sioux City Journal is seeking a part time sports reporter/clerk to work ten to 20 hours a week. The successful applicant will be expected to: Write accurate, clean and clear copy Write-up short stories on aggressive deadlines based on box scores and stats called and emailed Cover some high-school, college or other sporting events and possible some feature stories Use Twitter and other social media to regularly update SCJ followers on games The position is ideal for college students majoring in journalism or communications who want get their foot in the door at the largest daily newspaper in Northwest Iowa and gain valuable background that can help build their resume.
