OR Service Technician-UPMC Horizon - (Farrell, PA)

Description Purpose: Maintain cleanliness of surgical services according to hospital policies and procedures. Responsibilities: Assist with patient support activities including patient transfers, and room turnover. Assure equipment malfunctions are reported to the appropriate department. Clean appropriate equipment including but not limited to specialty instruments as needed. Complete and document daily routine responsibilities on the unit including but no limited to equipment maintenance checks, i.e., refrigerators. Comply with safety policies and procedures including standard precautions, body mechanics, etc. Maintain schedule for cleaning equipment on unit. Mix, use, and dispose of chemicals according to directions. Perform assigned work in a timely and productive manner. Provide environmental services for the unit including but not limited to cleaning rooms and staff areas, disposing of linens, trash and hazardous waste and stocking unit-specific equipment and supplies.
