Research Assistant (Chief of Staff) - (Madison, WI)

Rep. Chris Taylor (D-Madison) is currently hiring a Chief of Staff to work in her office at the Wisconsin State Capitol in Madison. Duties for this position include, but are not limited to: Developing and executing vision, strategy, and legislative priorities; Staffing Rep. Taylor in the Joint Finance Committee; Monitoring legislation, conducting legislative research, and drafting bills; Directing media relations, outlining talking points, and drafting press releases, columns, and other communications; Assisting in preparation for committee hearings and Assembly floor sessions; Managing and training staff and interns; Coordinating Rep. Taylors schedule; Meeting with lobbyists, agency staff, service agency staff, and other stakeholders with or on behalf of Rep. Taylor; and, Conducting outreach to the district and to local and statewide advocacy groups.
