Research and Development Scientist - (Richmond, IL)

As an R&D scientist, you will be responsible for executing the project plan activities for assigned new product development projects while insuring compliance to design control processes and external regulatory guidelines. You will also initiate and perform studies of complex issues and innovative ideas that may feed into new products/projects Design and Development of Histology Consumable products. Achieving milestones of stage gate development process Maintain quality standards of FDA, ISO, GLP and GMP. Transfer of design from development to manufacturing Participate in design change and manufacturing cost improvement initiatives. Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Material Science or Chemistry. Preference given to Advanced Degree Min of 3yrs of R&D background in academic, medical device or pharmaceutical environments with diagnostic products (Leica BioScience/Danaher background is preferred). Background in preparation of controlled studies, protocols, statistical analysis and report writing.
