Systems Administrator - Unix Administration - (Southbury, CT)

Position overview This is an opportunity for an AIX Specialist with a Production support experience to work as part of a high visibility, high focus account, and will be a rewarding opportunity for the right applicant. As a trusted technical services advisor you'll have overall responsibility for the operation and maintenance of AIX lpars in an HACMP environment. Your job will include AIX administration, incident and problem resolution and security compliance, working as part of an AIX support team to deliver the service to the customer to ensure high system availability and performance. The role requires a solid experience working on Unix platforms, preferably AIX on IBM??s pSeries servers. Perform design, build and installation activities as part of project activities with the Project Manager. Contribute to skill sharing and team knowledge store. Manage workload, escalating any issues to the Team Leader. Work pro-actively to identify areas of improvement for the service.
