Systems Database Administrator - DB2 LUW - (Southbury, CT)

Position details As a DB2 Specialist you'll have overall responsibility for the operation and maintenance of DB2 databases across multiple environments, middleware applications, and database technologies in a high availability configuration. Your job will also include database administration, capacity planning, performance management, and security compliance. The role requires a solid experience working on Unix & Linux platforms, preferably AIX on IBM??s pSeries servers. Contribute to skill sharing and team knowledge store. Manage workload, escalating any issues to the Team Leader. Work pro-actively to identify areas of improvement for the service. Liaise and work with other groups and departments as required. Provide education and promote the sharing of knowledge across the Service Delivery organisation. Attend meetings. Ensure all processes are accurate and followed. Ability to work across all competencies. Outstanding verbal and written correspondence . Requirement for 24x7 Standby.
