Youth Counselor - Pregnant & Parenting Teen Program - (Belleville, IL)

Youth Counselors, in conjustion with other members of the Transitional LIving Program (TLP) Team, plan coordinate, organize, monitor and document activities that are specifically designed to assist youth to develop the skills and knowledge that will assist them to maximize their independence in adulthood though the use of role modeling, coaching and instructin. Youth Counselors participate with the treatment team in identifying the individual priorities for each youth and recording progress as it occurs. Areas of focus include but are not limited to self-care, life skills (cooking, laundry, handlign money), issue solving, coping and behaviorl self-managment, job readiness, communication, leisure pursuits and community independence. Perfect candidate will have a HS dipolma or GED, be 21 yrs of age, possess valid Illinois Deriver's license. EOE.
