Position title : Prep Cook FLSA : Non-Exempt Department: Market Grille Revision Date : 12/2018 General Function The Prep Cook is responsible for supporting the BOH Managers to deliver high quality, great tasting food; proper food safety and sanitation procedures and profitability. The Prep Cook is responsible for prepping ingredients used in dishes according to restaurant recipes and specifications. Reporting Relations Accountable and Reports to: Store Director; Assistant Directors; Store Operations, Perishables, and Health Wellness Home; Lead Chef; BOH Manager; Restaurant Manager, Assistant Restaurant Managers; Direct Reports: None Primary Duties and Responsibilities Set up workstations with all needed ingredients, utensils and cooking equipment. Prepare sauces by following recipes. Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables etc.). Ensure great presentation by following recipes and specs. Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen.
