Motor Coach Mechanic-Preventative Maintenance - (Orlando, FL)

MOTOR COACH MECHANIC- PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE PAY LEVEL: Based on Background SCHEDULE: third Shift GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Under supervision of the Shop Foreman, performs a variety of maintenance tasks including preventative maintenance, trouble shooting, inspection of Company owned buses and their operating systems. TYPICAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Examines the vehicle and discusses with supervisor or other mechanics the nature and extent of the damage or malfunction. Plans work procedure, using charts, technical manuals and background. Raises vehicle, using hydraulic jack or hoist, to gain access to mechanical units or parts attached to underside of vehicle. Adjusts brakes and replaces lights and instruments. Replaces and adjusts headlights, mirrors, and windshield wipers. Drains fluids including oil, transmission, differential, radiator, etc. into appropriate receptacles using hand tools to remove plugs, caps, etc. Cleans units as required.
