Security Officer (Temporary) - Port Arthur, TX - (Port Arthur, TX)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS * High-school diploma or equivalent * Possess, or expertise to obtain upon employment, a Level II Non-Commissioned Security Officer certification in accordance with Texas rules and regulations * Valid driver’s license and clean driving history * Min eighteen years of age * Able to proficiently speak, read, understand and write English * Must have a reliable personal vehicle for transportation to/from the work site each day DESIRED REQUIREMENTS * Military, law enforcement, or security background required * Background working in a refinery or plant * Background working in the oil and gas industry * Certified in 1st Aid & CPR, refinery safety standards * Conversational Spanish KEY FUNCTIONS * Perform searches of vehicles (random inspections) which may involve feeling and detecting objects, and walking over uneven terrain for long periods of time * Confront suspicious persons, assess intentions, and take action as appropriate * Perform rescue functions at accidents
