Job summary THIS IS A 1-2 mnth ASSIGNMENT AS PER CHARMAINE or possibly longer Department: Patient Accounts Temporary - 7:30 am to 4:00 pm Day Shift Job Summary: Follows up and collects data necessary to receive insurance payments in a timely manner. This challenging work entails the understanding of insurance claim processing and working receivables. Follow-Up Specialists will have responsibility for managing receivables for a specific payor or alpha split within a payor for all Health Hospital facilities. Accurately processes all insurance remittances including payments, rejections, credit balances, and payment discrepancies. ) Position responsibilities: High-school degree or equivalent. Expertise to work autonomously and within a team setting. Critical thinking and complex analytical skills. Expertise to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong Customer Service skills, preferably in collections and/or call center. Proficient computer and typing skills.
