Seasonal Forestry Technician - (Korbel, CA)

POSITION PURPOSE Provides assistance to the licensed foresters to design and layout harvest units and roads. Aids foresters in the field reconnaissance and flagging of road locations, stream protection zones, setting boundaries and related wildlife habitat retention areas. KEY FUNCTIONS: (other duties as assigned) Under the direction of a RPF (Registered Professional Forester): Identifies and flags property lines, stream protection zones and setting boundaries. Assists with flagging and painting previously located road grades and landing locations. Aids in reconnaissance of new areas for future development and harvest alternatives. Maintains legible, accurate records and write technical reports. Be familiar with forest engineering equipment with competency in its application and use. Assists in other forestry functions as needed. Participates actively in Company safety program.
