Store Security Officer - (Cedar Rapids, IA)

Position Objective: The Store Security Officer (SSO) will play a key role in minimizing our exposure to loss while promoting a positive shopping environment for our guests. The SSO's principal responsibility will be to greet and thank each guest as they enter and exit the store, while maintaining a strong visual presence in an effort to deter potential shoplifting activity. SSO's will immediately report any incidents of theft or safety concerns to the store management and their respective District Asset Protection Manager. Essential responsibilities:* Monitor customer traffic entering and exiting the store* Communicate all suspicious activity to store management and District AP Manager* May be required to perform EAS audits and cycle counts.* Have knowledge of and maintain strict compliance with the law and company policies concerning apprehensions, searches and seizures, and the preservation of evidence* Works on special assignments, investigations
