Director of Accounting General DescriptionUnder the direction of the Controller, responsible for the overall management of the accounting department including payroll, accounts payable, treasury functions (to include pension and bonds), fixed assets and general accounting.Maintains financial records and reports in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Government Accounting Standards Board (GASB), and coordinates all department activities with other hospital departments and with outside interested parties.Analyzes financial performance of hospital services and programs and recommends adjustments as needed.Essential responsibilities 1.
