Commodity Manager (Purchasing) - (Durham, NC)

Position description: Sourcing: Analyze and source materials and/or services related to the front-end design of new products, as well as the manufacturing of existing products. Products involve complex technical characteristics requiring continuous interaction with Engineering, Quality, Production Planning, and other key personnel to ensure that strategic requirements of the business are properly presented to and executed by the supplier(s). Providing lead responsibility for the analysis and sourcing of Indirect (Non-production related) material/services spend, including but not limited to Details Technology, Software, Building Services, Freight, Marketing Services, and Contract Labor. Buying / Planning: Reviewing production schedule and material planning (MRP) systems and obtaining materials, components, and equipment as required.
