Patient Financial Services Representative - (Evansville, IN)

Southwestern Healthcare, Inc. and its affiliate corporations are the largest providers of community-based behavioral healthcare in Southwestern Indiana, offering a full range of mental health and addictions treatment and related educational services. We are seeking a full time Patient Financial Services Representative to work during normal business hours Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. This position will perform: Billing and account activities that will maximize reimbursement and promote prompt payment. Resolves routine patient billing inquiries and problems and follows up on balances past due from insurance companies and patients. Reads and interprets transactional data within patient accounts. Comprehends Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) functionality and the general progression of data in the practice management system (PMS) and EDI systems. Understands and resolves payer edits and/or rejections. Demonstrates knowledge of medical terminology, CPT, ICD-9, CCI edits, and HIPAA regulations.
