Security System Design Engineer - (Reston, VA)

Position summary: The applicant will apply their knowledge of security and related technologies, including access control, closed circuit video, intrusion detection, intercom, media display, radio communication systems, and LAN/WAN networks, to the application, design and implementation of security systems. The applicant will provide support and execute assigned tasks related to the field assessment, design, and engineering of security systems. The applicant will need to attend and support meetings with clients, contractors, interdisciplinary consultants, and other project teammates as part of the security team; conduct security equipment surveys, research and define appropriate equipment and technologies, analyze and assess constructability, support development of security specifications and design drawings for bid, review contractor submittals; and verify implementation in the field.
