COBOL Developer - (Minneapolis, MN)

Responsibilities: · Work together with existing Technical Leads, and COBOL developers on system design, coding, and system testing for an ACH transaction processing application. · Work on a high volume transaction processing application utilizing IMS and DB2. · Effectively work with others—including other technical resources, the business, QA, and management. · Design and code solutions based on approved requirements · Provide technical work estimates and task breakdown · Participate in peer code reviews and provide support to QA/Prod during the test/migration process Periodically be on-call to support Production applications · Support architecture efforts by following and adhering to the standards set forth by the ACH Details Architecture group and maintain the integrity of application architecture · Provide technical leadership and direction on medium to large projects. · Provide mentoring and knowledge transfer of COBOL skills to existing staff
