Utility Laborer Must have high-school certificate or equivalent, basic technical skills and valid driver's license with the expertise to obtain Class A commercial driver's license within three months. Assignments include tree trimming, operating equipment such as utility trucks, trenchers, backhoes and excavators and pole work. Apprentice/Journeyman Lineman Must have high-school certificate or equivalent, basic technical skills and valid Class A commercial driver’s license. Assignments include construction, maintenance and operation of overhead and underground power lines, operating equipment such as bucket trucks, digger derricks, trenchers, backhoes and excavators and participating in scheduled on-call time. 4 yrs min background working around power lines.
