Youth Counselor - Social Worker (Full-time) - (Cedar Rapids, IA)

As a YOUTH COUNSELOR you will be responsible for: assessing client interactions on location, formulating interventions based on the identified treatment plan, evaluating the progress of treatment goals, providing direct care services on assigned unit(s), completing documentation as assigned, supporting the agency mission as well as program mission and values, practicing safe and responsible work habits. Responsibilities: * Provides consistent, individualized reinforcement to client behavior, using daily issues to teach and reinforce adaptive behaviors. * Utilizes a proactive/preventive method of intercepting problems to neutralize them before they escalate. * Strategically utilizes identified behavior management techniques and other de-escalation training to assist clients in developing appropriate behaviors. * Assists clients in developing insight into their behaviors so that they learn to self-identify and self correct.
